Nicholas Haas-Brown
Nicholas is an Academic Program Coordinator for the WVU Foundational STEM Collaborative. Within this newly formed initiative, his work focuses on leading a team of learning consultants tasked with providing students, with both STEM and non-STEM majors, access to support services (e.g. tutoring and advising meetings to discuss concerns within coursework) designed to increase success in foundational STEM coursework. Further programming being worked on focuses on engaging students in real-world STEM applications. Prior to this role, Nick spent two years as an academic advisor advising roughly 250 students, during which, he co-founded the New Advisor Network to build a community amongst new advisors as a place to speak freely of struggles and success.
