ACADEMIC ADVISING COUNCIL MISSION

The AAC helps elevate the academic advising experience at WVU by keeping a pulse on advising trends, adviser and student success feedback, and the opportunities and challenges occurring centrally and in the schools and colleges. 

MISSION

Academic advising at West Virginia University is the intentional collaboration between students and faculty/staff resulting in accurate, timely, equitable, inclusive, and holistic advising experiences, creating effective educational plans and fostering student self-efficacy.

VISION

Academic advising at West Virginia University is the purposeful engagement of students not only through their academic programming but also to challenge and support them in their development as educated citizens.
