
Megan Jude Russell
Megan Jude Russell is the director of student progressions for the Marshall University School of Pharmacy, based in Huntington, West Virginia. Entering her 15th year as a higher education professional, Megan supports student success and faculty collaboration in addition to serving as the lead advisor for the Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences program. A two-time MUSOP Staff Person of the Year, Megan is recognized for her commitment to excellence, authenticity, and connection in higher education.
She is a Certified Appreciative Adviser and a proud alumni of the John Marshall Leadership Fellows Program, both of which have allowed her to deepen her leadership practice and community engagement. Megan brings both scholarly rigor and genuine care to her work, whether she’s sourcing affordable academic resources, facilitating advisor development or leading her campus advisor book club to foster inclusive dialogue. Her current work focuses on building advising communities rooted in trust, promoting ethical research practices and exploring ways to support student success, resiliency, and retention.
Megan is a two-time graduate of Marshall University (B.A. 2008; M.A. 2010) and is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Leadership Studies, also at Marshall. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, sports, and traveling with her husband and son.
