Midterm Grade and Financial Aid Reminders for Advisers

|

Now that student midterm grades are released, advisers have several important touchpoints available for advising appointments. Here are some ways to utilize midterm grades for effective advising appointments:

  • Discuss the need for a possible course attempt appeal if a student is not passing. Click here for more information about course attempt appeals.
  • Identify struggling students who may need more support.
  • Formative feedback for areas of positive growth.

Please note: while advising a student to drop a class, always suggest students call the HUB or go to the Student Financial Services webpage on withdrawals for more information. Some students may experience financial implications related to withdrawing from courses.
