WVU participates in the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) regionally and nationally. WVU also sponsors an annual state academic advising virtual conference open to all academic advisers in the state of West Virginia. Advisers are encouraged to attend conferences to stay on top of trends and best practices in academic advising, learn how to apply theory, network with colleagues and more.
