Two-week Alerts/Early Alert now in progress

|

More than 350 faculty members teaching gateway courses are invited to participate in issuing an alert in Navigate to identify students of concern during the first two to three weeks of the semester.

Faculty can issue an alert through Navigate named “See instructor to discuss progression in this course” for students who display an academic concern.  The concern may address absenteeism, lack of engagement, poor homework grades, or other factors the instructor deems concerning.

Once the alert is issued, the student will automatically receive an email (sample below) encouraging them to contact their instructor and get connected to campus resources.

The deadline to issue the alert is September 13. Advisers may view issued alerts in Navigate. Students will also be tagged with F24 Early Alert after September 13.
