Student Financial Services Simplifies the Academic Success Plan

|

Effective with the summer 2025 semester, the student Academic Success Plan (ASP) - as part of the Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal process - will change.

Now, advisers may indicate the total number of hours a student must enroll for each term and will only be required to list specific courses if they are a D/F repeat. Advisers can report D/F repeat courses as follows:

∙                     Directly on the ASP next to the specific course or

∙                     In the notes section of DegreeWorks

By focusing on the number of credit hours and only specifying D/F repeat courses, students and advisers will have greater flexibility in course selection. This change will eliminate the need to require an updated ASP each time a course is not available, reducing administrative burden and allowing students to adapt their schedules easier.

The review process will remain the same, ensuring that the student is enrolled in the correct number of credit hours each term and that they continue to meet the requirements outlined in their ASP.
