aymester is designed to help current undergraduate students get ahead of their peers, stay on
track for graduation and explore subjects they may not have had time to pursue during the rest of the
school year.

Explaining the Enrollment Process to Students:
• When advising students, please let them know that they need to submit the Maymester
Registration Request Form so our team can register them for their desired courses.
• Students can take two classes and no more than five credit hours during Maymester and cannot
exceed 14 hours within Summer.
Important Dates and Deadlines:
• Last chance for students to request courses: May 9, 2025, at 4 p.m. ET
• Maymester classes begin: May 12, 2025
• Last day for students to drop courses: May 14, 2025, at 11:49 p.m. ET
o Dropping after May 14 results in a 100% course charge for the student
• Last day to withdraw with a "W": May 23, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET
Adviser Assistance:
• Students exceeding 14 credit hours in the Summer, including Maymester, must have their adviser
email WVUMaymester@mail.wvu.edu to approve the requested courses and credit hours before
they can register for Maymester.
• Students exceeding 15 credit hours by adding Maymester to their Summer courses must email
their adviser to complete a course overload petition. The adviser must sign the petition and
email it to WVUMaymester@mail.wvu.edu.
