Effective Fall 2024, students on an approved Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
appeal who wish to enroll in a Winter Intersession course will have the opportunity
to do so, provided they meet a few additional requirements. There are no exceptions
to the following requirements:
Now that student midterm grades are released, advisers have several important touchpoints
available for advising appointments. Here are some ways to utilize midterm grades
for effective advising appointments:
The course attempt appeal form will be available on the website starting 10/7 to
coincide with availability of midterm grades. As a reminder, students who have
attempted certain courses twice and have not received a passing grade must appeal
to have a third attempt at the course.
As students begin to plan for spring classes, advisers are reminded that the following languages still offer available minors in: Spanish, French, Chinese Studies and Arabic Studies.
Last year, we made significant changes to the admission process for the 2024 Summer BOOST program. We’re pleased to report that student feedback has been mostly positive.
As students begin to seek mid-semester courses, advisers should note additional seating in second 8-week courses will become available incrementally over the next four weeks.
More than 350 faculty members teaching gateway courses are invited to participate in issuing an alert in Navigate to identify students of concern during the first two to three weeks of the semester.
